The multitude of choices available can make selecting your invitations seem daunting; plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time. At least four (4) months before your wedding have all the details of your wedding finalized– place, time of ceremony and reception, and guest list–then order your invitations. Allow extra time for addressing the invitations and the possibility of last minute changes. Mailing out invitations eight (8) weeks prior to your wedding is a good rule of thumb. Consider sending “Save the
date” cards, with information on hotels, flights and car rentals, to out of- town guests six to twelve months prior to sending invitations, to allow for necessary travel arrangements.

Having a wedding website to complement your invitations is also a great idea. From online RSVP’s to travel arrangements and itineraries, a wedding website can round out your already perfect invitation.
